So I feel a little late in the game with this review because at this point, who hasn’t heard how great One Day in December is?! But still, for the few of you who haven’t heard about it yet, this is for you!
One Day in December is the story of love at first sight that doesn’t go as the story books tell us. Laurie makes eye contact from a bus with a man who makes her feel more in those few moments than anything she’s ever felt before. She begins searching everywhere for her mystery man and ends up finding him in the least expected place; as her best friend’s new boyfriend.
What follows is ten years of love, friendship, heartache, and real life.
I read this book in less than 24 hours. When I was supposed to be writing a history paper. Now, reading a book in a day isn’t anything new for me but I’ll tell you what is. Going back the same night I finished the book and re-reading my favorite parts. That’s how much I loved this book! I just couldn’t get over it. I had to keep coming back to it.
If you want a book that is real and honest about how life doesn’t always go the way we planned, a book that gives you all the feels, and reminds you that real friendship exists, than look no further!
