So I’ve been MIA for a little bit because with my summer class schedule I felt a bit overwhelmed. Then to top it all off, I have had some weird and random health issues over the last month. It started out with me breaking out into hives one night and the issues just continued till I ended up in the ER. We still aren’t sure what exactly is going on with my body but we are working towards answers!
For about the last six weeks my life was pretty much consumed with work and school. In fact, my husband and I had to schedule date nights, something we haven’t had to do in our nearly three year relationship. I never realized that it was possible for you to live with someone yet not truly see them for days on end. Unless you were working opposite shifts of course. It was definitely an adjustment and a realization of what we have ahead of us over the next few years as my classes only get more intense.
I finished up one of my three classes as it was only a six week course, I’m still enrolled in my other online course, but I unfortunately had to drop my Biology class. With my health issues I had missed three classes and in a fast paced summer class I just didn’t have enough time to catch up before the next big test. So as sad as I was to have to do it (considering we were halfway through the twelve week course and I had a B in the class) I withdrew from the course. In the end, I know it was the best decision. I have a lot more free time now with only one class and work and I must admit it feels great!
This weekend I was able to sneak in a little summer fun with a quick trip to Tampa to see some of my favorite country men! My husband and I did a double date with another couple to the Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, and Jon Pardi concert. A little known fact (since we eloped) is that TJ and I had our first (and only) dance at our wedding to Jon Pardi’s “Head Over Boots”. So seeing Jon Pardi in person means a little extra for me. It’s Florida and it’s summer so it felt like we were sitting on the sun at the concert but we made the most of it!
To top off the weekend I finally was able to see Harry Potter in concert and it was just as amazing as I had envisioned! If you haven’t heard about it, let me fill you in. Harry Potter in concert is an event where they play one of the Harry Potter movies for you, in our case it was my favorite series, Prisoner of Azkaban, accompanied by a live orchestra. It truly is something special. If you love Harry Potter, it’s a must. And if you don’t love Harry Potter, it’s still a must! TJ tolerates Harry Potter but isn’t exactly a fan and even he loved it.
Well, that’s what I’ve been up to. Tell me what YOU have been up to!
P.S. Weekend outfits are from the always lovely Vici Collection!
